About Austin Block

Austin Block, a high school teacher with over seven years of experience, is running for the Newark Unified School District Board. Fluent in English and Spanish, he values strong school-community connections and is committed to listening to families and being accessible. Austin aims to address challenges like staff shortages and budget deficits, while supporting fellow candidates Gabriel Anguiano Jr. and Phuong Nguyen.
