About Austin Bruckner Carrillo

Austin Bruckner Carrillo is a community advocate running for the Hayward Unified School District Board, focused on directing resources to classrooms, improving communication, and supporting students’ emotional needs. Shaped by his experiences with eviction, abuse, and addiction, Austin is committed to improving community systems. He serves as Associate Director of the Alameda County District Attorney's Community Support Bureau, chairs the City’s Community Services Commission, and holds leadership roles in local Democratic and LGBTQ organizations.
